West Coast great Snoop Dog recently ruled Eminem out of his top ten rappers in a The Breakfast Club interview.
“There’s just some ni**as back in the 80s that he can’t F*** with, like Rakim, like Big Daddy Kane, like KRS-One, like LL Cool J… Shall I go on? Like Ice Cuve. You understand me? I don’t got no time to play with it, it is what it is. Cuz did that. He did that to the fullest. That’s one of my teammates, one of my brothers. He did that.”
Personally, I definitely have Eminem in my top 5 due to his back story, freestyling/battling background and execution. No rapper has ever had such a grip on the media worldwide, like Charlie Sheen during his meltdown, Eminem owned the spotlight but he owned it for years, a cultural icon amongst the masses(rap fan or not). His albums are mostly rap classics, Snoop dog perhaps just trying to get some airtime perhaps?
Anyhow, the Detroit rapper Marshall Mathers, Eminem, Slim Shady recently celebrated his 48th birthday on the 17th of October and was wished a happy birthday from Snoop, squashing any beef rumors between the two.
Eminem, in typical Eminem style, choose not to wish Snoop a happy birthday when he turned 49 just 3 days later on the 20th of October.
