21 Savage releases ‘My Dawg’ video

21 Savage and Metro Boomin have now released their second video from their album ‘Savage Mode 2.’ The album has been touted as a hit amongst commenters on social media.

The video for ‘My Dawg’ takes place in an opulent English mansion with armed English soldiers guarding the area. The savage two can be seen making business deals with some shady looking English gentlemen. The clip has a ‘scarface’ feel to it.

The premise of the video is derived from the fact that last year 21 was arrested for overstaying his visa as news surfaced that the rapper was actually born in the U.K. 21’s lawyer claimed that 21 had applied for an American Visa, and that the application was still under review. The video is a response to jokes and memes being made about 21 Savage as being English. 21 even goes as far as including stereotypical English redcoats with rifles in the clip.

“I ain’t know nothin’ ’bout no Visa, I was in the park with the gang/Moms be feelin’ bad, I try to tell her she is not to blame/No social security, couldn’t get a license, but I still didn’t complain.”

21 and Metro took some time to relax, probably well deserved after this latest album release, and could be seen as virtual fans at the NBA finals game last night.

Savage Mode II is on pace for a #1 debut next week with over 175k units moved.
